Family Weekend in Olympia Washington by Private Jet

So SFO777jr and family needed to go to Olympia for a good friend's wedding. But with three kiddies, 28 months and 15 month old twins, how is that even possible? Enter grandma and grandpa to baby sit on the road. With three kiddies, flying private was our most practical option.

Our beautiful and newly refurbished mid-size Hawker 800XP.

Ready to go, car seats and all.

We're #6 for departure.

And we're off...

Yeah, this would have been a nightmare on United or Alaska.

Grandpa taking a short break. LOL.

Whoa, gorgeous view of Mr. Rainier.

Descent and approach to Olympia.

Our Enterprise SUVs delivered on time to the FBO and waiting for us.

Our Airbnb with a view on Lake St Clair.

Finally the kiddies are asleep and the adults can enjoy dinner.

OMG, this is a full time job. LOL.

Oh yeah... good decision to cover the floor in Hefty bags.

Heading home to Denver

With a 10am Airbnb check out and a stop at McDonald's, we were at the airport just after 10:30a.

Thanks HawaiiTrvlr. It goes both ways. As exhausting as it can be at times, we love helping out with the babies. They are so much fun.

Thanks very much NYC1. It was a lot of fun and the babies had no problems with the altitude changes in flight.

On this trip, our pilots stayed the weekend on their own in Olympia/Seattle and the plane was on the ground for 3 days. We didn't see them until we returned to OLM for our return flight. Thanks aeroflotsam.

Honest Question

How afraid were you of the kiddos getting their grubby little hands everywhere in the cabin? I have the huge, probably illogical, fear of them getting their crisp greased hands on the windows and seats, leaving the cabin with crumbs everywhere.

Good question. Honestly, we were pretty worried considering how messy the twins can be. We made sure to only bring reasonably non-sticky, non-messy snacks and lots of wipes and towels just in case. In the end, it was a lot better than I had feared.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing the pictures! My mom lives down in Oly. It's probably best to be flying in via private jet, as the grind from SEA down is a real pain. We hire a driver to get us down after arriving and before our flights go out of SEA back to Europe.
