Many thanks for your review!
We were slated to stay at the Raffles a few years ago, but that trip got cancelled.
Any recommendations for the area in which the rooms that are most quiet?
Many thanks!

We stayed at Palm Court Suites in July and it was impeccable and incredibly quiet even with the construction going on around the area. Sherman, the Lobby Manager, went above and beyond -- when we return to Raffles Singapore, it will only be because HE was AMAZING. We didn't end up using the butler service but make sure they furnish your room with local sweet delicacies (kueh). The food isn't particularly good, but we loved this hotel for its old world charm and service (but loved The Datai more! :-))

Very please this has been bumped, it’s top of my bucket list when the stars align… was planned for my milestone birthday last year before I went to play at the dentists instead.
Excellent report, thoroughly enjoyable read.

I have fond memories of staying here about a half dozen times, although not since the latest renovation (and all after the previous one). At one point, I had top tier (of two) in their unpublished loyalty program. My first visit overlapped with Queen Elizabeth II and I saw her ceremonial arrival and departure as well as the special etiquette and security measures associated with her visit. I have a couple favorite suites on the Palm Court.
The current library was previously the business center. The Raffles store was located on the first floor near the wrought iron fountain, off of the Fountain Court.
From the pictures, my biggest disappointment would be the OP's birthday restaurant. I think it's the place where the tiger was infamously rumored to have been shot under a pool table. That piece of history has apparently been lost.
I'm also sorry to hear that the tiny Writers' Bar has been relocated.
BTW, one of the suites in the main building (not the Presidential Suite that the OP toured) was used in the movie Crazy Rich Asians.

Great report and great bump. I stayed across the street early in 2023 and walked around the property curious what the rooms were like. We went once for high tea and were a bit disappointed at the touristy feel, but that was over 10 years ago.
