Edit: total bill to BA would have been c. €165,000 ... not even the combined salary of the crew.

Compensation for the delay credited to my bank today ... 1,048.95 (€1200). New dishwasher ordered yesterday, which will use half of that!
Not a bad return for sitting in the LGW First Lounge for 5 hours, drinking champagne and eating smoked salmon sandwiches.
