Dubai had been under some of the toughest restrictions in the UAE with a 24 hour lockdown at one stage enforced. When it was announced that travel between emirates would be allowed for staycations and that that northern emirates would open their hotel beaches and pools for a limited amount of guests, I quickly booked a weekend getaway to Ajman. At the entrance to the Fairmont Ajman. Our impressive array of bags being wheeled away by the porter. Your baby is adorable. I was amused by the amount of luggage such a small person requires. You won't be doing carry on when she is along! I have never visited this kingdom and it was a pleasure to see the beautiful hotels on the sea.

What a great staycation. The Fairmont hotel looked like a terrific bargain at $96 a night. One question about the hotel, looking at the top of the hotel (top 2 floors), there are 2 large banks of windows on opposite sides of the hotel. Is that a fancy suite or other purpose for the bank of windows like a restaurant?

What a nice staycation - and that 85 meters lap pool is amazing! Unfortunately we are not allowed to do do StayCations yet in Singapore. Still stuck at home basically but able to dine out now and shop.
