Awesome drone shots.. I was on MU about the same time, but rather on the west coast (mainly Flic-en-Flac)

Thanks, PAX_fips:). Weather on the west coast looks to be the best. Would love to explore that part of the island more.

A little more luxurious than your others! Brings back memories of the month I spent there when I was 15. Great stuff as usual. The food looked great.

Great review which has given me some ideas for my own upcoming MRU trip.

Seems like hiring a car is a must? A lot of the tour ideas I was looking it seem to include a driver to bring you around and was wondering if that was safer / easier.

What's car parking like generally?

I would be wary of driving in Mauritius, unless you are well comfortable with driving on the left side

Yes, driving in Mauritius is not for the faint-hearted! Even though they drive on the left like I do here in the UK, there is certainly an element of Mumbai madness to the traffic - if you see a chance take it, don't hesitate or you just won't get anywhere at all!
