We stayed at Solvang many years ago on our West Coast trip, I can’t say I’ve seen a report with anyone else mentioning it. The best thing I enjoyed in that city was the use of metric! No having to try and roughly convert between the two!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

I learned about Solvang from a fellow traveler when he posted pictures of it on Instagram.

It was basically deserted and the only people who were about were junkies / homeless.

Haha, true! Many thanks!

Really enjoyed this TR of some of my stomping grounds. Well done!

And congratulations!

By the way, Roseburg IS kind of creepy (I lived there as a small child and my folks never looked back with anything resembling fondness) and the "original" Starbucks in Seattle isn't.

That is why I don't really enjoy going back. I can hardly last more than a day or 2. Though the surrounding country is beautiful. I love spending time on the Umpqua.

Congratulations on your wedding, hopefully it didn't get infiltrated by the FT gang from Gibraltar!

Great TR, really enjoyed reading it.

You’re a great photographer. Thanks for sharing.

Did you see an old hotel in Boise called the Idanha?

If there is no problem with money, go to Alaska for outdoor recreation and awesome winter fishing

Great trip! It's always nice to see parts of your own country that you haven't seen before (or in a long time). Looks like you had an amazing trip!
