Quote: h wish I'd known you were in Austin. Looks like you had great weather, we've had mosly crummy weather on weekends lately! And no line at Micklethwaits?!? I've always had to wait an hour or more...
Darn, maybe next time! That's the issue with always planning trips last second.
Weather was indeed great. I guess we got lucky with Micklethwaits, we had tried Franklin BBQ right before it and they were estimating almost two hours (this was around 2PM).

A helpful report for me, as Austin (and San Antonio) are in my thoughts for 2020 ... along with Charleston. Two weeks hopping between them could be good, and rack up a good few BA Tier points in the process!
Thanks! Sounds like an awesome trip, enjoy!

Quote: The issue with the scooters is that it's mostly kids that rent them and leave them wherever they please. Usually tossed on the ground in the middle of the sidewalk.
I can imagine. I saw a jogger moving a bunch from the middle of the sidewalk at one point. Such an easy concept, it's not that hard...

We may be too old to start trying to use scooters.

I saw some older couples using them actually, super easy to use.
