I loved this report. 737s and Hampton Inns were basically my work life for years. But this was such a cool way to do that. Loved this. And yes, go back to Hong Kong. Thanks for sharing this fun report. I enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for a great report and it is amazing that you can actually fly around the world on 737.
There are a number of interesting airlines that you flew especially Malindo Air and flydubai.
Thanks for sharing with us your great journey!

Thanks IluvSQ, it sure was fun, but sometimes also exhausting. The Island Hopper takes quite some time to complete.
Thanks view.
Thanks nequine. I was very happy that all worked out as planned.
You are very welcome, Kiwi Flyer
There would have been beds, if I had been able to include PrivateAir's 737-700, but this didn't work out. Thanks davistev.
Romanianflyer, planning is the key-element of such a trip. But with the right tools, it's nothing more than just doing it. Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks bitterproffit, I have already booked another flight to HK, so I will be back there for sure. Regarding the hotel choices, I often don't spend too much time in the hotel and then I just need a bed and a shower. There would still be cheaper options than Hampton Inns available, but you know, you get addicted to the loyalty/reward programs.
Thanks Carfield. Doing RTWs in only 737 will be becoming easier, thanks to the MAX. DY is already operating it to the US. Right now, as far as I know, you cannot do it on A320 family aircraft (A318/319/320/321). You can cross the Atlantic (BA0001) and you can fly to HNL (e.g. on AA's 321H), but then you are stuck. So we have to wait on the A321LR/neo to do that.
Malindo Air does offer a very good product at reasonable prices.
Thanks teahan.
Thanks zboub345. Was it that obvious with the ships? But my interests are much more specialized, it's basically only the US Ships.
Thanks CarlTheWebmaster, you are very welcome.

You beat me to it!
I'd been thinking this was such a cool idea for a couple of years now and it was great to finally see a 737 round the world executed. I'd actually planned two possible routes for myself but due to the extreme cost of some of these flights, I'll have to hold off for a while.
Route 1
Brisbane - Denpasar (Virgin Australia 737)
Denpasar - Singapore (Garuda 737)
Singapore - Bangkok (Lion Air 737)
Bangkok - Dubai (FlyDubai 737)
Dubai - Copenhagen (Norwegian Airlines 737)
Copenhagen - Edinburgh (RyanAir 737)
Edinburgh - Hartford (Norwegian Airlines 737)
Hartford - Denver (Southwest 737)
Denver - San Jose (Southwest 737)
San Jose - Honolulu (Alaska 737)
Honolulu - Nadi (Fiji Airways 737)
Nadi - Brisbane (Virgin Australia 737)
Route 2
Brisbane - Cairns (Qantas 737)
Cairns - Singapore (SilkAir 737)
Singapore - Kuala Lumpar (Silk Air 737)
Kuala Lumpur - Bangkok (Malaysia Airlines 737)
Bangkok - Dubai (FlyDubai 737)
Dubai - Copenhagen (Norwegian Airlines 737)
Copenhagen - Edinburgh (RyanAir 737)
Edinburgh - Hartford (Norwegian Airlines 737)
Hartford - Denver (Southwest 737)
Denver - San Jose (Southwest 737)
San Jose - Honolulu (Alaska 737)
Honozulu - Nadi (Fiji Airways 737)
Nadi - Brisbane (Virgin Australia 737)

Thanks henrus. I'm still waiting on somebody telling me that he/she did it years ago. I'll probably have to post the report at airliners.net to find somebody who has done it before. But I also haven't had told anybody before, because I was afraid somebody could beat me to it.

Just ignore the cost factor, it's a once in a lifetime experience. There are people spending much more money on The Residence fares and they only travel from LHR to AUH.
