EVA (BR) J across the Pacific JFK-TPE
Bear with me if the photos don't work, I'll sort it eventually. [Anyone have any idea why the pictures don't display? I put the imgur links inside the [IMG] tags. Thanks] EDIT: Now it should all work (broken into 3 parts)
EVA (BR) flights for Taipei (TPE) depart out of JFK Terminal 1 . There's a dedicated check in for Royal Laurel passengers and *Gold, it was totally line free
EVA uses the Alitalia lounge, which is one of *THE* lousiest lounges I have ever been to in the US. Domestic UA/AA/DL clubs are nicer, as are all Priority Pass lounges I have ever been to .
There was a scant beverage selection, some pre-made sandwiches and salads in the fridge and chips on offer. The wifi was unbelievably slow, there weren't enough outlets to charge devices, and the whole place looked ratty, run down and filthy. As a bonus, it was also overcrowded.
At the gate there was an airline employee waiting to escort all zone 1 pax onto the plane before coach and non-status passengers
This flight (BR 29) JFK-TPE was scheduled for ~15.5 hour flight time. Our aircraft was a Boeing 777-300ER, registration B-16726
While the BR J cabin is much bigger than other airlines First Class cabins, everything else about BR J was virtually F standard. The seats are laid out 1-2-1
.
After taking our seats, we were offered Rimowa amenity kits
pajamas
and some fairly lousy slippers.
I'm not a big drinker while aloft, but they were pouring Krug
so I decided to have a glass before takeoff before switching back to water.

or even:
http://somesite.com/images/img321.jpeg (.jpeg instead of .jpg)
http://somesite.com/images/img321 (no three letters at the end, could be a link to a directory, or to a file)
you won't be able to embed the content on FlyerTalk. There are probably some good reasons for that- there are exploits you could do if you embedded certain files cleverly crafted to mess with people's computers or phones- essentially you could hack their computer or phone, so these are elementary, basic precautions.
However if you use the image EMBEDDED in your imgur site, not the imgur link, it will work. In this case, one of the image embedded in your imgur accounts, when I use a right/control click to "Open Image In New Tab"... I get this: https://i.imgur.com/XxjBNlc.jpg, which I can then embed like so:

I don't know if it's SOP on all routes, but they started the first meal service almost immediately after we got to cruising altitude. Definitely don't load up on food beforehand, the first meal service is ~7 courses, then they have a snack menu and they serve another multi course meal before arrival (I slept through this). You won't go hungry.

In other words, for each of the images you want to host, go to the imgur page and right/control click on the image. Open the image in a new window or tab. Use the URL (that thing that starts "http") for the picture, not the web page that HAS the picture.
Using the imgur page that hosts your image won't work, you need the actual image. The page the image is hosted on (an imgur page) is not the same as the image itself, just like the map that shows you where Taipei is, is not actually Taipei.

I flew EVA from MFM-TPE-SEA in J about 10 years ago. Old angle-flats, but in the nose of a 747.
But the food then was just bad, even with book-the-cook. Somehow I ended up with some kind of pasta primavera for breakfast! Looks much improved.
Seats look like B/E SuperDiamond, among the best J seats out there, although I think there have been some complaints about placement of the tray table and people banging their knees.

The meal service was elaborate. It began with amuse bouche followed by a starter, soup, salad, main course that I had pre-ordered from their book the cook options, cheese and dessert
After watching a few movies, I decided to pass the out. The seats have ample legroom and the comforter was super

This flight went over the pole and I took a neat picture out the window
Instead of having the second pre-landing meal, I copped DAT burger from the snack menu
Not bad, and probably the only time I have seen curly fries on an airplane.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend EVA biz, and think it's closer to something like BA F than most other business class products. Also TPE is very easy to transit if you have a connecting flight, as I did.

Anyways, looks much better now! I concur on BR J; flew them this past December thanks to a Lifemiles redemption, as an option to get to BKK from SEA I don't think there are much better ones due to the flight timings (night departure from SEA, am arrival in TPE/Asia).

FT will do that for some images where there's no .jpg...
