I have only been to Bucharest and Brasov. Thanks for this wonderful information as I want to visit Northern Romania / this region and Moldova. When we visited Romania in 1992 we hired a driver / car.
The roads were narrow but not much traffic,

Food was bad in 1992 but when I went in 2018 the food was wonderful.

The subway station near the Intercontinental Hotel was ugly and depressing.

Thanks for the pictures of the Gare du Nord. Did not have time to see it. This is where my mother arrived in 1938. Wanted to see it.
Fantastic that they have dining cars on the trains. Not so common anymore.
