Although it was done for religious reasons, the photo below shows how it is possible to isolate a passenger from the surrounding environment on a long overseas flight. I wonder if such prophylactic measures would have protected others on that flight to ATL?

Not sure how to answer that one. If that was done to me (I am claustrophobic) I probably would have died.

I think you're selling yourself short. If you survived the eliminations and evacuations described in this TR, you are one tough cookie!

It's about time FT had a report about vomiting and diarrhea.

Let the flood gates on that .... now be open...

yes and if there is even one hole, then sort of defeats the purpose. assuming it is not large enough for the dead spirit to infiltrate although i seem to recall from scooby doo cartoons that ghosts and spirits can easily go under small door cracks or through key holes so a plastic bag could hardly be a match for them.

OP, damn, that's not fun at all.

I always immediately change into cotton PJ's when I fly. At least I then have a pair of clean clothes for these kind of rare possibilities.

Nope. Very very religious Jews do this to protect themselves in case the aircraft flies over a cemetery.
