British Airways Airbus A380-800 Singapore - London Heathrow in World Traveller

We had the chance to take the British Airways Airbus A380-800 service from Singapore Changi and London Heathrow - in Economy Class.
Of course, expectations were quite low. So there was no disappointment. As it was an overnight flight, we have slept most of the way. The total flight time was just shy of 13 hours.
In my eyes the crew was pretty young, so I believe this flight was crewed by Mixed Fleet.
The flight was pretty smooth for most of the journey. We have only experienced an air pocket over the Bay of Bengal. The vertical windshear was quite powerful.

Unfortunately, we only had a second-rate smartphone available for the flight, hence, the picture quality is quite bad. I hope you'll understand.

Here are some metadata on the flight:

IFE at full swing - unfortunately, BA does not offer an outside cam view:

BA dinner - only fish was available, because the second option has run out.

Aft staircase to connect the Main with the Upper Deck:

Over India - the ride was quite smooth, we were recovering from the vertical windshear over the Bay of Bengal:

We took a more northerly route, since Ukrainian airspace (esp. around the areas of the DNR and LNR) is avoided since MH17:

Nice TR, fish is better then other meat served onboard and easy to digest especially while in a sitting position for that long flight.

Nice report! The SIN A380 flights are actually crewed by Worldwide crew, the B777 (BA 15/16 continuing to SYD) are Mixed Fleet.

How did you find the economy seats and spacing between the seat and seat in front? How was the quality of the IFE and entertainment options?

Any snacks available in between meals?

Well, the meal seems to be better than BA serves on First on SIN-SYD - I recall a recent thread here on FT.

Thanks for sharing and the pics are good enough.

The engine metadata has to be corrected.
