Inconsiderate Passengers
I have kept quiet as long as I could but I feel I must now speak out.
What has happened to common courtesy and civility?
Why is it passengers (I suspect many FF's)feel the need to be the first person to board only to take their sweet time standing in the aisle unloading books, computers, paperwork and so on. These people act totally oblivious to the line of passengers growing in the jetway waiting to board. It's as if this plane is there to serve them and them only.
The real joke is I have witnessed such behavior on flights of less than one hour. By the time they get themselves settled in and working, the pilot announces we are on intitial approach for landing and the whole production starts anew as they put everything back in preparation for landing. So all of the "hassle" got them maybe 15 minutes of actual work. Recently while on a flight from DETROIT to LOUISVILLE my seat mate (in First Class) opened his folder up and basically took up his seat and half of mine. I had no where to put my right arm. I was within seconds of telling him to get his "work" out of my lap when the flight attendant served drinks and basically moved his work to set the glasses down.
While I am at it, what's up with passengers sitting in bulkhead seats putting their feet up on the bulkhead? Do they do that at home? I travel once to twice a month and have been totally amazed by some of the things I have witnessed.

While you share many of the irritations other frequent flyers share, Homer.too, the FlyerTalk Trip Reports forum is not the proper place for this thread. It will probably be moved to TravelBuzz! by a moderator.
Speaking of TravelBuzz!, I personally know of several threads there that express your concerns. I too encounter inconsiderate passengers of all kinds every time I travel, and it can be irritating.
Please use the Search function in the TravelBuzz! forum, as well as the TravelBuzz! forum in the FT Archives area of FlyerTalk. You will find quite a number of threads that deal with both the general nature of inconsiderate travelers, as well as deal with specific issues of inconsiderate actions (such as the controversial issue of seat recline) by such passengers.
