Cracking report BigLar! Glad you enjoyed Cornwall - I spent 14 summer holidays in a row there.

I was so blown away by Cornwall that I'm already making plans to go back - and spend some serious time there, too!

It's really a delight and so,...so,...so Un-English! And I mean that in the nicest sense.

Fantastic report, BigLar, and entertainingly written - thanks. As for the cucumber sandwiches - even after spending 5 years living in England, I was none the wiser about why they ate them either! Such insipid, tasteless little things.

Cucumber sandwiches? Delicious with lots of butter! One thing I can't stand are peanut butter sandwiches, which are very popular in America. By the way do you like Marmite sandwiches?

Aha. What you want are peanut butter and marmite sandwiches. Even better on toast. Yum.

This is not an intentional bump!!

I sent all my kids a link to this trip report (They're scattered all over the country).

When I got home today, I found that my middle daughter (who is a writer/editor/publish, etc) had taken the report and put it together with pictures, and so on, and bound it into a nice 40-page (!) document! Really neat!

We'll have that for the long winter nights ahead ("Hey, hon. Remember that little restaurant on the Rivera?"). What a thoughtful Christmas present!
