Lounge Hopping at NRT
This past Friday, I had a couple of hours to kill at NRT and decided to sample the SQ, CX and AA lounges.
The only things of note for me were the downgrades in catering.
The SQ lounge does not offer champagne any longer. The glasses are still there. The vodka has also been downgraded to Smirnoff. They did offer a very decent dim sum selection. The sushi was OK. It seems that they no longer have Ben & Jerry ice cream but a different brand which I can't recall at the moment.
CX at least had Absolut vodka. Everything else was basically the same as a couple of months ago.
On the technical front they now have a router with ADSL placed on the middle of a conference table that you can plug into for free broadband access!!
The AA lounge was so busy at 16:30 that I just left my luggage there while checking out the other lounges.

Just curious, but what airline were you flying that day, and what status do you hold? I thought top tier oneworld and STAR elites could only enter an affiliate lounge if they held an ongoing flight that day. Or of couse, also their carrier lounge if flying Business or First on that member carrier. So, how did you manage to get into both STAR [SQ] and oneworld [CX, AA] lounges?

Shareholder,
I was flying AA in F. I have AA EXP and CX Diamond - that covers AA and CX lounges. I also have a SQ PPS Solitaire which gets me into the SQ lounge.
