Back from fun times in EZE

Just back from a great time in Bs As.

United SFO-MIA-EZE
deluxe hamburger was good
lamb was delicious

The city is beautiful and very cheap when using the dollar. Argentines are great people as well. Clubs play mostly hard house, but make sure to visit Brasilia for an experience. Imagine the macarena to the nth power. La Sigal is busy on Tuesdays and you will always find fellow travels at Killkenny's near the city center. San Telmo also has some great pubs. Also make sure to go out to the outdoor clubs (Santo) across from the Aeroparque (domestic terminal).

My vacation also included a trip to Iguazu. The Sheraton property was pretty normal, except for its amazing location and views. As it is the only hotel inside the Argentine side of the falls. The pink hotel on the other Brazil side seemed a lot nicer although they may be more strict visa wise if you spend more than a day there. The buffet at the Sheraton was not good at all, and a horrible sample of Argentine lomo.

Thanks for the tips on Cabana Las Lilas! The place promised what every said it would. Amazing lunch with wine and cocktails for just under $20!! Be sure to visit the gelato place nearby for an after dessert treat!

That's exactly what I did last November - took a friend to lunch at Cabana las Lilas (we ordered the lomo of course), and sat outside under the awning across from the marina. And then a dessert gelato at Freddo.

Off to EZE again next Wednesday (on a UA efare) for another round ...

John

hey John,

Looks like your leaving for BsAs on Wednesday. Since, I live in the Bay Area, do you think I might be able to change money with you, I've got about 200 pesos left and no one seems to be exchanging pesos since the devaluation. It would be a great help to me.

Thanks,

Jon

Where is Brasilia located ?? Is it a rave/house club ? What other clubs did you go to ?

Anyway, glad to hear you had fun in BA. It is a wonderful, cheap city ! And the food in Cabaa Las Lilas is the best and I miss it..

Just save the ~$64 for next time. No way any bank here is going to exchange them.
