LAX-ICN return KAL First with pics

Did a X-mas trip to help Santa delivery presents. The ground crews at LAX and ICN were sufficient. Here's a tip: do not line up to run your bags through the X-Ray machine before you get to the ticket counter. The counter personnel will do that for you. LAX definitely need a premium pax line at security. I felt like I was at Disney Land waiting for a ride.

The seat in their Premium First planes is average. The controls for the audio/video and call button is right by my elbow and subsequently I summoned the FA by mistake several times. The foot rest is invisible unless you extend the bottom part to near flat and then have to manually unfold it. I did not have any problem with the ventilation or air quality or flying nose objects.

The inflight entertainment needs some help. The head phone is worst than the one that came with my computer five years ago. The movie selection was OK, although I wish there was more movies. I watched all the movies they have and still have time to kill.

I am also a Delta Platinum (a.k.a. Skyteam Elite Plus) and it shows. I was the only one tended to by the head purser several times, both ways. In flight service was very cordial and prompt, and the FA spoke better English than I thought except for the letter R.

Despite what KAL website said, there is no caviar served since about a year ago.

Ok here are the pics:

AH-64D, thanks for your picture report. The food looked quite good and also the portions seamed rather voluptuous.

great report, did you like the security line? for those of you who don't know, LAX TBIT secuirty staff closes up one line and then gets everyone to the other end, and they only open TWO x-ray machines per line during peak times and then opens other ones. Just got back from PVG via NRT on NH great service lousy LAX lounge. appranlty the food is the same but a little bigger in KAL's first class than NH's C class.

MilagePlus will remain the SAME. Keep flying UA. Stimulate the Economy! UA still is the ONLY US airline offering non-stops to Australia, New Zeland, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, and more cities WORLDWIDE.

Wow, the ICN facilities look like SUCH an improvement over SEL. Sadly, it doesn't look like KE's foodservice is any better than it was back then... but I remember the service as being utterly impeccable.

What a great collection of photos! Thanks for taking the time to put together such a fine portfolio!

Now, can we talk you into doing the same on Lan Chile, South African, Air Madgascar, Lufthansa or Emirates?

Seat2A, I am working on it. I will do either CX or SQ in First pictorial this year and may be one other airlines.
