MCO & TSA
We just returned from our annual visit with the mouse. It was a good trip, and CO managed to get us there & back on time despite really lousy weather leaving EWR.
My note is to COMPLIMENT the TSA at MCO. I absolutely couldn't believe how friendly and nice these people were on Saturday.
I would imagine that security at MCO is interesting, to say the least. People are carrying all kinds of mouse related stuff.
At 1pm on Saturday the line was almost non-existant and EVERYONE was pleasant. It was almost too pleasant. The "pleases" "thank-yous" and "would you mind letting me run your laptop through another machine?" comments were downright NICE.
Two days later, I'm still astounded...
On another note. I left a bathing suit in Disney's Beach Club & a sweatshirt on the plane. I guess it wasn't my day for remembering stuff.
I called Disney and they offered "oh, is it the blue flowered bathing suit?" When I replied yes and indicated my room number they said it was already in the mail to me (!!!).
Completely different with CO. I called lost & found and was forced to leave a message with the date that I lost the item with SPECIFIC instructions that the flight # was not required. I was only to leave a description of the item & a phone number. They then indicated that I would only receive a call IF the item was found.
If the security line at EWR wasn't so darned long, I probably could have made it back to the plane to get the sweatshirt (it was new), but it simply wasn't worth the grief to go back. Oh well.
So, kudos to the TSA at MCO and to Disney for treating customers with respect. A big raspberry to CO for not bothering to answer the phone with a person.
