I'm just trying to figure out how many of the lovely photos of the physics experiment we conducted on the plane I want to download.
It is so fun to drink with a rocket scientist.

I really enjoyed JSD's trip report at the top of this thread. However, it seems to me that subsequently it has become some kind of repartee among insiders. Perhaps a Yahoo Group account could be opened for such purpose? I mean no offense to anyone and advanced apologies to those who take one.

If you're so concerned about not being an "insider," you could have gone on the trip.

As one who wanted to attend the gathering but had to cancel, I'm glad to see this thread, as is, even if I don't understand every reference.

I guess everyone gets something different out of trip reports... some people read them for descriptions of the food, some to find out what time a plane took off, and some to grab a voyeuristic look at the weekend in one of those "wish I had been there" kinda ways.
Then again, it took me about two years of reading FT (and never posting) before I realized that about 50% of what gets posted here seems to be some type of "you had to be there" kind of thing... that is what the Community part of it is all about. That is also what spurred me to reregister (since I lost the password I had signed up with WAY back when) and get my rear to some of these DOs so I wouldn't miss anymore fun.

I may be in the minority, but I've always thought the afterposts from folks who have attended DOs makes reading the threads kind of fun. And it always makes me want to kick myself for not going when I seem to have missed out on something.
