hotel overbooking

I was just called by the sheraton in baltimore that the overbooked for this weekend they "offered" to put me in a hilton far away but expect me to pay

I am not expert on this, any suggestions????

thanks francofile that's what i did they offered one night stay or 3,000 points

no much but i was able to find a closer place on my own and will use it toward a nite's stay another time

Take the points! 3000 points is alot more than you will get for one stay at any rate in the hotel!

I'm learning to love it when they overbook me!
