Trip Reports on FT
Hi everyone
First of all a big thanks to everyone who takes the time to write the trip reports we see here posted here on FlyerTalk. I've written a few myself and know what a time consuming process it is.
It is also quite amazing the quality of the reports we see posted here. 99% of them are very well written, well set-out, and a real pleasure to read.
I would like to make two suggestions for future report posters and readers alike.
Firstly, I would like to encourage reporters, wherever possible, to note down the rego number of the a/c on which the report is based. I know I find this information interesting, and I am sure there are plenty of other users out there who do as well. As you may be aware, probably about 60% of reports already contain this information.
Secondly, I think it is important for at least a few people to reply to the reports and let the writer know they enjoyed the read (if appropriate). I know from my experience it's always nice when someone takes the time to say "hey, thanks, I enjoyed reading it". I'm not talking about having 400 replies saying this, but it would be good to have just a few people (particularly the regular and well-known posters) to say they enjoyed reading the reports. When people, particularly the less regular posters, know their reports are enjoyed by us folks on the board, I think they'll be more inclined to post future reports, and possibly get more involved in the board generally. Plus, it's a nice gesture considering the amount of time these reports take to write.
But once again a big thank you to all the folks who have taken and will in the future take the time to write the reports.
Wishing all members and their familes a happy new year, together with a safe and prosperous 2002 (with a stack of operational upgrades to boot).
MD/Adam

Well said, MD!
Might I also suggest that for those of you traveling in First or Business, if you have the time please include a transcript of the menu. Especially in First Class! When you're describing the First Class experience, food presentation and quality is really something to be looked forward to and is certainly envied by anyone who's ever ridden in the back of the plane on a long international flight!

Since posting on this forum, I have kept all the first class menu and try to post the pictures of the menu when possible. I got two JAL first class menu, 12/01 and 1/02, that I will post shortly once a server can be found to post the pictures.
