I suggest that you ask your question in the specific airline forums of the airlines in which you are interested. (i.e., if you're flying SYD-LAX, try posting in the United, Qantas, or Air NZ boards) Legroom varies so much based on airline, route, aircraft, etc. that you'll probably need to narrow your search a bit to get the info you want.
