Need input!
I will be taking a flight froM AUS to SJC and back to AUS again obviously soon.
I will be flying American Airlines First Class both ways. On the way out, I will be on a MD80, on the way back a 757.
Has anybody ever traveled this flight before in first class, how was it?
Thank you,

Hi Tyler,
Welcome to FT!
Check out the AA forum here. Lots of answers to AA-specific questions. This area is primarily for writing about your trip after you've taken it. But since you asked, I'll answer here:
The 757 has the old brown seats. Haven't flown in them on that particular plane, but they're marginally comfortable. They will be rather wide, but without a lot of back support. The MD-80 seats are new. Because it's a narrower plane, the seats are narrower as well. They have an adjustable headrest, and I find the seat more comfortable. Pitch on both planes will be about 39-40 inches, as opposed to 31-35 in coach.
Food service depends on time of departure. If your flight isn't running late, you'll get a pre-flight drink. Alcohol is free in F. Flights of that length leaving between roughly 6:30-8am, 11am-1pm, and 4:30pm-7:15pm get a full meal service, warmed mixed nuts followed by three courses, two choices of main course. Flights at other times get a full snack service, smaller portions. Flights after 8pm usually just get beverages and nuts.
I hope this helps. If you have more questions (or even if you don't), come on over to the AA forum.
