Here goes my second "attemped" trip report.
AZ577
GVA-FCO
4A / Super 80

After arriving at GVA and walking to the desks designated for AZ by the television monitors I was given my seat assignment in Prima C class (Inter-Euro C class). I then proceeded to give my WP card to the check-in agent who worked for Swissport not AZ. She said she didnt know is NW would be ok with AZ, she would have to check on the computer. After typing a few strokes she said" No it doesnt work do you have a CO card" I then responded in a polite tone " Maam, the TV monitors directly above you that indicate that this is the AZ checkin have the NW logo directly underneath ( thus denoting a partership). She said she didnt know what do to about the TV screen. I figured I could claim the miles later and asked where the Prima class lounge is. She said that there was no lounge. Sounded strange considering in my knowledge of GVA, all the majors have some sort of lounge. My suspicsions were confirmed when I went up to the lounge level. There is a large users lounge for the middle-eastern carriers that show up every once and a while. SR has a travelclub lounge and a C class lounge which can be used by the class pax of other European carriers including AZ. In addition there is an SR F class lounge, a BA lounge and a Senator Lounge. I settled into the Travelclub lounge and waited for 20 minutes. After proceeding to the gate I was distrought to learn that we were right next to an easyjet full of tourists who were crowding our gate area. Luckily they were gone soon as we waited for the plane to be ready. Like SR and to my dismay AZ boards Y class pax first and then C class passengers. However, unlike SR they dont have a problem with the C people getting on with the Y class pax. I didnt know this and was thus the last to get on, even though I was at the gate 20 minutes before boarding. There was enough space for my luggage thankfully. The seats on are super 80 were really good for inter European flights. They were 2-2 which is much better than SR/LH/AF. The plane took off and climbed out over the lake. Turning south we headed over mont blanc , whose summit was not far below the plane. I love the route that this flight takes. The seats had a good recline and a snack was served

Assorted French and Italien Cheese with Darvida Crackers

Fresh Parma Ham and melon

Light Pasteries

The rest of the flight went well and landed on time in Rome.
As a means of saving my work I will post this now and add each segment as a reply.

This domestic super 80 was not as comfortable, maybe because it was all economy. However it wast timely and for a 40 minute flight all anyone needs is a drink and some cookies, which is exactly what they served. Landing in PMO is senic as always.

For some reason I adore PMO airport. The AZ lounge is of far better quality than the one in the FCO domestic terminal. I love the way the lounges have scales and belts for the checkin luggage. The flight again left on time and was very smooth. They did not close the cockpit doors for take-off and I had a great view from my isle seat. Decesnding in Rome we came over the Coleseum and the Vatican, Arrving 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

Back to the international configuration was welcomed for this compartively long flight. I didnt know how I would survive the 1 hour 35 minute journey. Dinner was served and included a white fish with veggies, a mozzerela and tomatoe salad and well as pie and ice cream bars. Flying through a storm was no fun but the service was sweet and attentive.

Checking in the next morning at FRA was smooth. I headed for the C class lounge right above the Boston Gate (B28)I tried to get in it with my UA preimer card but was denied so I used my boarding pass. They said I needed a premier Executive card, that sounded strange as I thought they were given Senator access. Anyway the lounge was crowded so I only stayed a few minutes before waiting downstairs for the plane. after boarding we waited for a long time to take-off. I hated they way we let about 10 planes cut infront of us for take-off. Once we were away the flight was short (6:55) Lunch was served over Ireland. I had the veal to start and then the steak. It was so so. LH always seems to have Red Snapper in C class. I dislike the desserts on LH and overall the meal was not too good. The inflight entertainment also featured a movie that I had seen on my flight from FRA to HKG a month earlier. I think its time for a new transatlantic carrier for me. Any suggestions for a boston based person who needs to connect to GVA ( other than SR, i do that a lot too) The snack that we got over Canada featured a salad with your choice of steak or fish stuck on the side of the plate. Really low quality stuff but I was happy to be back in Boston and managed to get to my suburban home in only 35 minutes after landing. That has got to be a record at logan
