Emirates First and QF Y - LHR DXB BNE MEL BNE DXB LGW
So,
I am going to make a real effort to not get too drunk this time and actually finish my trip report.
I am traveling with work to, originally Brisbane, but now we have bolted Melbourne on it too, so there is a short hop on a QF flight booked separately. I have been lucky enough to get First again, which is going to be amazing for the 14 hours leg from BNE to DXB, I am also not traveling alone, so it should be fun.

Checked in last night on the sofa, but as per normal the reminder scare me silly, as Emirates allow you to book in 48hrs prior to departure, unlike other airlines, so I immediately checked I was on the right flight!
Anyway, all checked in, the S class is picking me up at 18:15 tomorrow;
Well, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. The Emirates S Class Mercedes was due to pick me up at 18:15, but at 18:20 I get a call saying that there were not enough drivers and that they have run out of ideas! So my wife called a local taxi firm and I'm on my way, assuming Emirates will pick up the £90 cost.

Any ideas why my status would change from Gold to Silver?

This looks interesting. Please keep us up to date, and yes, hopefully it is just a system error.

It appears that OP will not be reporting on their trip so this thread has been closed.
