AS 737-700 OAK-SNA

Just a short report on the new 737-700 since I haven't seen any others here. Alaska has started taking delivery on a bunch of these and I met my first on a flight from OAK to SNA. Everything was squeaky new. Even the 1st class seats squeaked when reclining. But they didn't seem to recline as much as the other AS seats.

I've heard folks say this plane is narrower, but I couldn't tell the difference in 1st. One big improvement for all passengers is a much deeper overhead storage. In coach, there aren't many dividing walls so you could even put skiis overhead.

I asked the pilots how they liked it and they were very happy with some of the instrumentation improvements.
