I fly about 10 times per year between Toronto and Montreal, and the seat sale fares are $139 Canadian. If you don't have a seat sale, the advance purchase fare, with a Saturday night say is $189 Canadian. It is $600 if it is a full Y or B fare.

QL: Thanks for another great trip report. (When's the book coming out?) Question on Board Room membership: what airlines' clubs does it get you into besides Alaska? And, do you have to be flying AS "the day of" for entrance?
BTW I just got my brochure for Ashland 2000 and will be ordering tickets for next year later today. Looks like a pretty good season, with Hamlet directed by Libby Appel, Henry V, Twelfth Night (one of my 2 or 3 favorites), Night of the Iguana, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and The Trojan Women.

dgolds, I don't think the AS boardroom membership gets you anything other than the boardroom. There are a couple airports such as LAX where they use the TWA lounge, but it's not a general TWA pass.
This looks like the best Ashland season ever. They are also doing Taming of the Shrew if I remember. Maybe it's time for a FT Ashland gettogether!

My friend is a businessman who never stays over a Saturday night. Apparently without a Saturday night stay there are no discounted tickets.
All I know is that most of the time it costs me less to fly SFO-YYZ than it costs him to fly YUL-YYX.

I did not know that either. In spite of literally hundreds of AS flights, I still have not yet had occasion to visit a Board Room but I think it would be more cost-effective to join instead of World Club in order to use World Club on those occasions when I do have to fly NWA.
I agree, QuietLion, that there are issues with NWA, but I do a fair amount of business in Minneapolis and from Seattle, it is still the best choice for me.

If you buy a CO membership, you get into CO, NW, & HP clubs and there is talk of maybe AS in the near future. With my CO card, I used it to get into the SEA NW WorldClub to meet you, DTTB, and Jamiel last August.

Newself: I don't know about the CO membership, but with the initiation fee waived, the Boardroom membership is only $175. Although I did fly USA, TWA, and UA once or twice this year, I fly NW and AS almost exclusively, so the Boardroom makes the most sense for me. Things could however change (jobs, travel patterns, life), and I would have to rethink, so thanks for the insight.
