7.0 Shaker
This is a spin on another type of trip report. SoCal survived a 7.0 shaker this morning around 2:45am. My flight was smooth until I hit the shaking ground. My FC bed was very warm and cozy but since there wasn't a FA to comfort me during this ordeal, I had to get my own drink!
The service (from SoCal Edison) was uninterupted during this 1 minute bout of turbulance but we all survived with very mimimal damage.
I have been joking that since I live on 2nd street and the next block over is Ocean Blvd, pretty soon I will be sliding into the ocean or at least have ocean front property.

It's always a good idea to assume the Crash Position during these things...place the palm of your hand directly over the top of your cocktail glass to avoid spillage and unnecessary loss of drink.
It was quite a good ride for us here in Redondo Beach. I heard Las Vegas was really shaking (especially on the upper floors). I hope Catman didn't spill his Pepsi!
I also heard that after the quake the casinos filled with sleepless guests. I hope this doesn't give the casino operators any ideas!

I live just down the street from Newself and I slept through the whole event. <shrug>
Not so fun fact: Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of the San Francisco World Series quake.
