Bumpy MIA - SCL

Flying back from Miami last Friday, I was pretty close to falling asleep, when all of the sudden bump, bump, BUMP, KABOOM! as we hit some real turbulence. I was lying down in a 3-row, and grabbed on tight, even though I was wearing my seatbelt, as I always do. Most passengers where eating dinner, which promptly was reassembled all over the plane. In the galley, the meal carts went airborne as well, landing on top of two of the flight attendents. One of the FAs was cut in the leg by the falling cart, and was met by an ambulance in SCL.

Moral: ALWAYS wear your seatbelts. I assume most FTers are smart enough do so, but just wanted to reinforce the point.
