Check in clerk changing seat assignment
BOS-SFO 7/31/99 UA flight 173. I let the check in clerk (Premier line) talk me into changing my business class seat from 9F to 11F on a 3 class 767. I will never do this again. I went from a nice window seat to a seat in a row by itself. That part was fine as not sitting next to anyone else
as I wanted to sleep on the flight. The bad part was that this single seat is right next to the bathroom so I would get a strong wiff of toilet chemicles whenever anyone opened the door. The check in said it was one of the most desired seats on the plane. Being unfamiliar with the 767 I bit and took the seat. Never again unless I have a seating chart right there to see where the seat is going to be. I also noticed that these single seats are slightly smaller than the rest of business class seats. I will be complaining to the premier line. Maybe I will get something out of it. At least I will register my complaint with them.
Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? If so what were you able to do and did you get any satisfaction from your complaint?

Once with CO, after a plane change from the original 747 I'd purposely selected and left quite late because of. I just let it slide since the flight was quite full and it was already very late. Interestingly, I sat next to a non-rev CO FA, who knew exactly what the story was!
