Hotel Report: Marriott World Trade Ctr
This is the hotel that was damaged in teh World Trade center Bombing, 1993.
Stayed here before and found it fine (just steps from the Path train IF I had to run home to a Cat or other crisis.)
I go to check in at 2p and desk agent says "OH your room's not ready come back at 4pm when we start checkin.) I was tired from work and needed a snooze to ready for a wild night on the town (See trip report "Wanderlust...")
So I tell here I'm sure that I told my company to tell YOU that I need the room early for early check-in. NO message. I just LOVE Corporate travel depts.
So they say come back in an hour or two. I need sleep, despirately.
Spent part of the time trying to get a Consierge to answer my question about place sin Midtown open very late (I know Stage Door Deli could and it was!)
An hour later I get my room. Typical Marriott with the beige towels and floor mats, etc.
The Mini Bar did not seem to keep things cold. I went for a PEPSI and it tasted warm.
Staff was hit or miss. They did respond nicely when I left my room key in the room (checked for photo i-d.)
So overall: 2 paws and a limp tail up.
