DL 1503/LIT-DFW/First Class/Boeing 727

Check-in and boarding: I had just bought my ticket an hour before the flight. I was assigned a coach seat (24A) and was told
that there are no other seats left to assign because it was a booked flight. I was also told that everyone on first class had checked in so I can't even be put on a wait list. I though this was odd because I only paid a B fare. This led me to believe that the flight was not as full as the DL agent would have me to believe. I went to the gate and asked to be put on the first class wait list. The gate agent did just that and even told me that there is a good chance that I would get upgraded. The gate agents took 10 minutes to board first class passengers and elite-level members. I was eventually upgraded to first class. The flight left 10 minutes late (5/10).

In-flight: The flight went smoothly. The FAs served drinks and a variety of snacks (peanuts, pretzels, trail mix). The flight was uneventful (7/10).

Arrival: The flight arrived on-time. Passengers deplaned in an orderly fashion (4/5).

Overall impression: Unremarkable flight (16/25).
