San Antonio

My wife and I are considering San Antonio as a destination this fall to use our two TWA free award tickets, good only this fall. I would appreciate a trip report from anyone who was down at the San Antonio get-together, with a focus on things in town to do, rather than the flights themselves, airline clubs, etc. Thanks much.

If you can wait two weeks DJLawman we can have a trip report from the Texas F-T gathering.

BUT I can tell you from experience on being there...

*It has the Alamo which is worth spending an hour or two... a great piece of history in the middle of a modern and growing city. Nice history, and I even found out that someone from NJ died at the Alamo.
*Very good Tex Mex, Mexican food and gourmet restaurants.
*The Riverwalk is a fun place for taking the little river cruise, good shopping, nice souvenier places. I had fun there.

As for a long trip... I ended up finding spending two days there was enough. YOu CAN use San Antonio as a base for venturing out to the other areas of Texas.

But maybe I should not be the one offering advice. Let let our Texas contingent weigh in on San Antonio.

Sorry, hadn't been paying enough attention. Thought the San Antonio get-together had already occured. Will wait patiently for your reports. Thanks.

DJLawman ~ Don't you think you should scout it out in person before your trip ... say June 11 - 13?

Wish I could, but one of the associates at my law firm is getting married, so I've got to be here in NJ for that weekend.
