Valldemossa Charterhouse
Valldemossa is one of the cultural hotspots of Mallorca and is famous for it´s Charterhouse with it´s church.

You enter the Charterhouse through the church.

Next comes the old pharmacy.

The library houses a nice ivoiry altar.

You visit the monks cells.

From the balconies you have some beautiful views and they are nicely planted.

The Charterhouse was after it´s secularisation also a hostel and was home of Frédéric Chopin and his life partner George Sand. The rooms they lived in are now a separate museum which charges 4 € additional entrance fee. You see some hand written letters, scores and (big sensation!) his piano. In my eyes you should skip this museum if you aren´t a big Chopin fan.

Some tiles on the wall.

Next you leave the old Charterhouse and enter the palace where you first hear a 15 minutes Chopin piano-concert. After it you visit the palace.

Son Marroig
Near Deia is Son Marroig, the former house of Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria. It was build in the 17th century and is a museum since 1928.

Inside you find still the original furniture from the archdukes area and some artefacts about him.

View from the balcony

View of the house from the ocean side.

The garden is small but has a nice view.

The famous temple.

On top are the best fruits!

No photos!

Walking on safe ways is something for sissies.

Nice TR, lots and lots of fancy food!
Had to chuckle a bit about the "mediocre" breakfast buffet at the St. Regis - which still took almost a dozen pictures to show all the items! I think your continental European bias is showing
... I would love to have access to German hotel breakfasts on a more regular basis...you are spoiled over there!

Great TR about a destination that's often dismissed as Germany's 17th Bundesland.
Thanks for reminding me that there's (much) more to Mallorca than Ballermann, Oberbayern & Co.
The St Regis Mardavall has also been on my list for quite some time, but now I'm not so sure as your review of the food and the guests has left me wondering if it's worth it. The coastline shots on the other hand are breathtaking and really make me want to go. Excellent work, thanks a lot for sharing, offerendum! ^

Great report and wonderful pics. Have never been to Mallorca but I think I definitely need to add it to my bucket list.
But...
I have to ask... how did you find out that she was a former pornstar??
But...

Thank you - was quite easy. The guy beside her wears a shirt with a text on it. It says "Mia Julia - nackt ist geil - Crew". (Translation: nude is horny). So you know she is not a "normal" girl. A simple Google search and you found all Information, she has a Wikipedia-entry.
