I just realised that those pics look a bit strange on my work computers' screen. Hope I didnt mess them up too much with my screen settings at home when I edited them

Is it worth it to go to El Chalten?

Is it really worth going to Al Chalten?

We are not hikers who will spend 8 hours hiking?

Thanks.
Replying to Bretteee re: is it worth it to go to El Chaltan and Calafate. YES a thousands times. But you are really cheating yourself out of an experience of a life time by not hiking to see the magnificent Cerrro Torre and Mount Fitzroy. The hike, however, is really hard. It is 12 hours round trip, ending in a beautiful glacial lake where we had the most wonderful picnic with cheeses, wine, Argentinian meats, etc. Some of this can be seen by road, but not the same effect. And for goodness sakes, do not miss the famous Perito Moreno glacier. I have a fantastic image of this but the software does not allow me to copy and paste it here.

I think the hike is not hard at all - it is just a bit long depending on the speed. I could walk to the Fitz roy viewpoint in 6-7 hours Roundtrip

But certainly a great trek so it should not be missed.

Same applies to Perito Moreno, I have some pics and a video here.

The colour temperature looks a little too high maybe(?).

I did the same trip with M/V Ushuaia on Dec. 2014. Although seems the spots we hit are quite different, prob due to very different ice condition in Dec. vs in Mar.

Yes, we had a lot of spots we wanted to go, but couldnt in the end. But I was very happy with the alternatives as well! Next time I go I will try to make it a bit earlier
