AF New La Première CDG-SIN a spectacular F class experience
Dear Fellow travelers and enthusiasts,
This is my first trip report. And i had to share this with all of you because it was such a spectacular product backed with impeccable service.
I am ready to award the best F class to Air France !
The seat is great ! The bed is heavenly ! The curtains take the privacy to another level ! The wine list is really nice ! The cognacs and armagnac on offer are fabulous ! Its a gastronomical delight on board ! Caviar is back ! The givenchy amenity kit is one the best ever distributed on board ! The entertainment system and content on it is excellent too ! France is in the air !
You have a personal escort from the moment you arrive till lounge and then a private car transfer. Even on arrival you are personally received and you can use the lounge while in transit even when flying other airlines (provided you arrived on La Premier) and then again driven to the other carriers plane. (This i had experienced another time when i came into CDG on AF and took EK)
So let us start with the Lounge:

Quick bite at the lounge and a glass of montrachet:

I will spare you the drive and plane pictures ! The Seat :

Welcome drink and amenity kit:

Wine List:

The only thing they messed up was that they did not load a food menu, but the purser came over and ran some kind of prep sheets and ran the whole menu with me. Each and every thing i had was excellent ! like i said earlier a gastronomical delight
Caviar :

Soup:

My cold Fish appetizer topped with caviar (if i remember correctly it was a cod):

My main course - Cannard (And i picked up the african chilli sauce piment from a previous flight):

Wow. Looks fabulous. So jealous. I've been planning on booking La Premiere but AF is way off the original retrofit schedule so most of the planned new F US gateways are still stuck with old F. Thanks for posting and welcome to FT.

Dear SFO ! Having seen some of your previous trip reports ! I am really sure you are going to love it. Especially out of CDG !
Yes the roll out hasn't gone much beyond SIN and some odd flights ! but the catering and soft products have been changed across the board

I really love the use of curtains instead of high walls for privacy - it's soft, supple and feels more cozy than an Emirates-style suite. I like the ability to open it when you don't want or need it (like during landing/takeoff). I hope this is a trend that gets picked up by other carriers!
Would be great to see carriers like Korean do the same with their first class product.

There is another divider emerging out of the arm rest on the side ! you can use during dinner or while working (Like on Lufthansa)
The curtain does really beat the hard suite and does feel more cozy !
So with both of them you can absolutely choose the level of privacy you require !
While eating you can raise the arm rest one and curtains while sleeping !

Thanks for this report -- I cannot wait to try AF F one day.
I will say this -- I don't like to see the plastic butter pad, the Perrier can, or the plastic yogurt cup -- that's not very first class to me. Food looks very delicious, though.
