Emirates F A380 | DXB - MUC
Flight # EK 051
Depart: 16:30
Arrive: 20:50
Equipment: A388
Welcome to another trip report. Here is the video
and a write up after the pics.
Summary
I arrived @ DXB around 13:30. The dedicated J/F check-in area was not busy, nor was the security line. I made my way to the C terminal F lounge for a pre-flight meal. The strip loin was cooked properly and was good. After the meal, I explored the lounge a bit. Overall, a very luxurious lounge and not busy at this time at all.
At the appointed time, I boarded via the A10 gate. I was welcomed aboard, escorted to my seat (3A) and choice of beverage offered. The load was about 10/14. I went with the Dom 2004 as a pre-departure beverage.
Departure was on time and menus were handed out after takeoff. There is no fixed meal service, just a la carte - whatever you want, when you want it. I did not book a shower this time. For meals I went with the duck as a starter and the chicken w/lentils as a main. Both dishes were very good.
After the meal service I asked for the bed to be made up. The bed was comfy as I got in about 3 hours of sleep. Arrival was on time. There was about a 15 minute wait passing customs @ MUC. My name didn’t appear on the chauffeur list but since I was just overnighting it, I just took the public bus to the Novotel.
Overall, it was an excellent experience with very good service. I didn’t use the IFE much (except for the airshow) so I cannot comment on that.

Thanks for the report! We'll be taking the same flight in F in Sept as part of the "scenic route" to Oktoberfest from the US. Were you on an Alaska ticket? If so, any issues getting into the lounge?
