Great report!
It looks a fair bit like Indonesia, especially the school. How were the sounds in the Amazon? When I spent a few nights on Borneo there were tons of noises in the rainforest that were otherworldly to the ears of a boy from the Great Plains.
One tip on the TR would just be to include some photos of the flights.

Thanks! It's definitely somewhere I'd like to go back to one day
It wasn't too noisy except the first night when we camped out. That night we could hear monkeys among other wildlife. The primary noise the other nights was the bats flying around, though at the end of each day I was so tired I fell asleep instantaneously. We weren't close enough to neighbors for them to be an issue.
Now that I'm on FT (since this was before my FT times) I'll be sure to include flight pictures the next time around. My next international trip will be my first long-haul experience on a non-US-based airline (LH and AC) (not counting KLM when I was 4 which I don't remember).
