Arrow Lufthansa new first class to Europe!

I recently flew to Sicily to visit a friend that's spending the summer there, and managed to snag Lufthansa first class award seats in both directions to get there. I also decided to route through Budapest on the way there, as I had an extra couple of days and hadn't visited Budapest before. Below are the installments for the trip report:

Introduction
Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Vancouver
Lufthansa First Class Vancouver to Munich
Lufthansa First Class Lounge Munich
Lufthansa Business Class Munich to Budapest
Hilton Budapest
Platinum Lounge Budapest
Lufthansa Business Class Budapest to Munich
Lufthansa Senator Lounge Munich
Air Dolomiti Business Class Munich to Catania
Air Berlin Economy Class Catania to Munich
Sheraton Munich Airport
Lufthansa First Class Lounge Munich
Lufthansa First Class Munich to Los Angeles

Thanks for reading, and any questions/comments are welcome!

Thanks for a wonderful trip report, Lucky.
I'm a huge LH fan myself and I'm still laughing about your "how opinions change when you realize LH planes have more than eight seats" comment....brilliant!

Excellent Trip Report! Was really useful to me since I'll be flying in F on an A346 out of CLT in about 3 weeks. Chances are it'll be the New F and that cabin looks great!

Not everyone eats caviar the same way...however I can tell you what the traditional Russian way of eating black caviar is since I am originally from there:

White bread (toasted or untoasted), a little bit of butter, and caviar on top.

LH and most other carriers that offer caviar service will offer chopped egg, sour cream, cheese which is fine.

However, people that mix onion (especially red onion) with caviar simply means they don't like caviar. The onion kills the flavor IMO.

What a great TR! I especially got a kick out of the part where the pilot didn't get your joke. Sounds German to me!

I never get tired of reading the LH F TR's because it's one of my most sought-after awards (along with CX)! Hopefully I'll make it soon...

Oh, and I have to admit that I had to google the name of Kanye and Kim's baby. The more you know...

Great TR, lovely food.

How did you find the Budapest lounge? When I went there a few weeks ago the staff wanted me to go to another one because they close in 1h, but I still wanted to check out the Lounge

Actually, the "right" way to eat caviar is on a bliny with "creme freche" and chopped scallion. Then there's the way the mass eat it which is what you described - no offense intended.

I think you are referring to the French way?

Yep. That's why they allow people to go to fancy restaurants dressed in shorts and t-shirts these days. Because they do it the way they want...
