WOW! Absolutely fantastic trip report and right up my alley as I am flying TG at the end of the year with Mini DG
We have the following booked:
SYD BKK - 9F 747 cabin
BKK FCO - 10F 747 cabin
CDG BKK - A380 F suites
BKK SYD - 9F 747 cabin.
When I first booked in Feb, it was 10F, A340, A380 and 10F. ^ for TG progress! Lets hope it sticks.

I flew in F in the Malaysia Airlines A380 yesterday, their service was great and felt a bit more consistant than Thai but I think the Thai F cabin on the A380 is much nicer!

What a difference with the New F in the 747 compared to the old (and even older domestic F)
I'd be happy to try TG again the next time I'm through BKK...
Now if they could just deep six (or retrofit) those 2 old planes with the old config in the front we'd be stylin'

I don't know how I missed this back in January. Lovely report on what looks like to be two very nice TG F experiences.
I have only flown the old 10 F seater and the cradle F seat versions of Thai's 747. This new one looks like a great improvement.
Interesting that TG went with F upstairs on the 380. All the carriers I have flown on their 380's have F in the nose downstairs.

I have flown MH F on their A380 last week which was downstairs and honestly I think TG got it right. MH only had two rows of F seats while TG had 3. Also upstairs you have the space at the stairs to play with and TG put in a massive lavatory cum changing room and a little lounge with the bar there. It gives a more complete feel.

Maybe it's based on 747 where you had to walk up the stairs. IMHO, the TG upstairs gives it a more exclusive feel, especially on the whale.

Thank you! What a wonderful Trip Report! I'll be on the FRA-BKK flight later this year so these pictures give me something to look forward to.
Can a couple dine together in the a380 suite? From the pics it looks like it might be possible?
