The new GIB Lounge

Hi,

I recently flew from the new GIB Terminal and thought I would post pictures of the Business Louge there. I was actually quite impressed by the new terminal and the lounge. The food / snack options are not up to much, but it's a nice place to spend an hour before your flight. There's also a lovely terrace outside the lounge which overlooks the runway, so you can watch your plane coming into land.

View from the terrace

Sofas on the terrace

This lounge looks larger than the old terminal! When were the new terminal and lounge opened?

I believe it opened first for arriving passengers and then in October it fully opened including departing passengers. I assume it was at this time the lounge was also opened.

Glad to see the old pokey control tower has been retained!

Looks very swish though. I take it there is no longer a need to get the secret code?

The new GIB Lounge

No secret code required! Just a CE Boarding Pass, OW status or I believe you can pay on entry.
