Here is a video of my wife as we travelled First Class on British Airways for the cost of coach tickets (BA's fees are very high). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4a-6oqQN50
We stayed at the London Hilton Waldorf for 5 days for 200,000 Hilton Points before moving on to Belgium.
Just thought I'd remind everyone and more honestly, all those looking around and saying why would we do that. Why spend the time and effort with the points game... this is why.

We used British Airways miles and Hilton Honors points to make this trip affordable and wonderful.
We flew British Airways First class from Chicago to London Heathrow and Business class from LHR to ORD. We used 150,000 British Airways Avios points as well as the 2 for 1 voucher and had to pay $ 2,198.92 in total for the round trip British Airways flights.
Stayed at the London Hilton Waldorf for 5 nights for 200,000 Hilton points (and no co-pay of any kind). As Hilton gold members we were upgraded to the executive lounge floor with use of the executive lounge. While the lounge was small it was very nice. Here is our trip advisor review: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserR...n_England.html
Eurostar Train London to Brussels on Wednesday, August 29, total r/t cost for 2 people was $292. We then stayed with our friends in Belgium.
This was our second trip on British Airways to Europe - last year we went to Prague and Amsterdam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aCK75pRSXQ. We have enough points to go to Dubrovnik next year but after that I'm focusing on American Airline points and other cards as the price of the British Airways fees are pretty high and better deals can be had.
