Have you reviewed other TRs? I think some people have used iPads and iPhones to document trip reports. In the end, I don't think it really matters, since you'll just be putting it on the website anyway. Of course, you want consider if your iPhone has a sufficient camera to take photos suitable to upload.

It's much easier than I thought... though it still does take a while. Time which I can ill afford but it does feel good to contribute.
Upload your iPhone 4 pictures to iphoto or whatever software you use on your computer.
Output all the photos to a folder on your desktop. In doing this you can reduce the size of the jpegs to about 300 KB each and they are fine for online use. In iPhoto choose 'medium' quality and 'medium' for size.
Create a free photobucket.com account and upload then entire folder... takes a few minutes.
Once the photos are in photobucket there is a fantastic simple and advanced editing tool. Please blur other people's faces... the last thing I want to see is myself in your report
Save your edited photos and then make your TR in FT.
Just press the 'direct link' button on each photo (one at a time) in photobucket. That automatically copies the link to the shot which you then paste into the field in FT that comes up when you press the little landscape button in your FT posting window. Be careful to paste over the /http that FT offers in that field. You won't see the photo if this prefix occurs twice. The link copied from photobucket is all you want in that field.
When you confirm this the link will just appear in between [IMG] tags in your post. To check the photos are working use 'preview post'. FT allows you 20 pictures per post.
And repeat each time you want to insert a photo...
