F Class Photo/Video Trip Report: FRA - YVR on LH
Hello and welcome to another trip report. As with my previous TR, I have included some video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riRgReGxuhA
Route: FRA-YVR
Equipment: A340-600
Carrier: LH
Seat: 1A
After a quick check-in at the main terminal building, I proceeded to the Lufthansa first class terminal where they have separate security and passport control. Around 11 a.m. the lounge was pretty empty. After a bite to eat, I just watched some TV to kill time. With about 30 minutes before departure one of the attendant escorts you downstairs where you retrieve your passport and board the vehicle that takes you to the plane. This time the ride was on Mercedes G55.
Pre-departure meal
LH first class terminal
LH492 to Vancouver
Amenity kit
Refreshment
Fried knuckle of Veal Carpaccio with marinated Chantrelles
Seasonal Leaf Salad with Herb Mushrooms, Pumpkin Juliennes and sun-dried Tomatoes
Braised Veal Cheek on Radicchio and mashed Celery
Chestnut Mousses Tartlet with marinated Plums
The theme of the second meal service was “Viva Mexico”
Dialogue of Bell Pepper and Turkey with creamy Pine Nut Sauce / Tortilla Chips w/ Mango and Tomato Salsa
Achiote Corn-fed-Poulard wrapped in Bamboo Leaf presented with Citrus Salad and fried Polenta
Chocolate and Chili Tart w/ Fresh Fruit
Conclusion: Another great flight on LH - good food and service!

I love that for the first time on FT in a TR from LH FCT at 5:54mins it seem that the limo delivers you to the plane and parks in front of what seems to be rubbish bins ("FSG") !!
Either way, I'm looking forward to my first limo ride soon.
