A fun story to read! I gather you took advantage of wheelchair assistance off the aircraft?

I rate this 5 out of 5 Baccarat flutes!

seems you've also received the highest props (this is Flyertalk, after all) from Lucky's One Mile At A Time blog.

Thanks for the link to Lucky's blog. I had no idea...

I thought for sure this thread would have died out by now, but I'm pleased to see it is well-received.

Why didn't you finish the Krug bottles first before changing to Dom Perignon?

Wow, life sure is rough in SQ F. This TR reads like Penthouse Forums for FTers!

I find the Krug is a little too sweet for my taste.

The 2000 Dom is perfectly-balanced, and easy to suck down in copious amounts.

OP and I seriously have to travel together! I did BOM-DXB-SFO-LAS and managed about 6 bottles. I wrote a TR and plonked it on the Emirates site - different audience, not appreciative at all! They wanted to know leg room, how hot the tea eas etc - bugger that!

Loved the rationale at the end - totally justifies it if you ask me!

Way to go matey!
