This is continuation for next part 2 for returns back home to USA.

Hello All,

I just woke up around 5am and I have to take quick shower before I am get on the road to ZRH. So I came by to says goodbye all of 5 cats and his wife Jackie. It was absolutely great opportunity to see her again. Maybe I will expecting to be back in Switzerland for next couple months later.

I am returns back to USA in the morning and my brother is drove me to airport in the morning due to new security measures for returns back to USA. I have to be there for 3 hours in advance due to new additional screening at the gates. So I have to get more extra time where I have more security questions for me. Where we parked his car in the garage and he & I walk to the elevators down to the ground floor. So we went to upstairs where check-in counter and look for DL ticket counter all the way end of the prier. So I wait for another agent to give me security questions about my bags and she scans with my passport, too. One of another agents who doesn’t understand to speak English. She is speaking with her German ancient. We went head to check-in counter to get checked 1 bag & BP, too. So she called another agents that she need to speak with English. So I asking her with my security questions and the bags go bye-bye! She & my brother and I are escorted to another counter wait for confirmed to be clearance the security.

Now, she is here with us and she gave me another security questions for me that I have answer for her. I told her that I don’t have anything inside the bags and I have a chocolate inside the bag and I packed my bags by last night. I staying at my brother’s apartment. My brother want to be escorted me into the concourse to see my flight is leave from the E gates. So ongoing where I am ready to the gates instead of going to the lounge. I didn’t have enough time for me. It took too long time where I am waiting for another agent to speak with proper English.

My brother & I are entrance into the lobby to get something eat for my breakfast in the morning. They don’t served the breakfast in Switzerland. So we went downstairs to the passport control. I gave her my passport and his passport, too. She stamp on it to leave from Switzerland. Then I am very confusing that I am never been in ZRH before. He & I went another escalator down to the trams from main terminal to E gates. So I hoping in the trams to E gates and went to security checkpoint. I ask her that I can require to take off the shoes and she replied me that she says “yes”. I took out the wallet and etc. So I didn’t take out the watch & belt, too. I went through at metal detector but, I hear the beep. Security officer & I are escorted into the private room and he pat me down and I told him that I don’t have anything inside the pocket. He wand me but, he hear beep that I have a watch & belt, too. Then I am clearance from security and I have to put my shoes back on and my brother gave me my wallet back to me. He & I went upstairs to the concourse where I want to get eat something for me. I have a ham & cheese sandwiches before I am get on the flight. So I sat down in the chair right next to the gate E27.

When I wait for gate agent to be called and she put on PA that all of those passengers will have to be additional screening at the gate before into the aircraft. Due to new additional security screening for returns back to USA. I knew there is no restrictions for 1 hour remains in the seat. She search my bag and that I didn’t have any suspicious problems at all. He didn’t pat me down at the secondary screening.

I wait for another agent to be called to get inside the aircraft. She scans with my boarding pass before I am getting inside the aircraft. I came says goodbye to my brother. I will looking forward to see him again in the future. I will have more opportunity for returns back to Switzerland for next available trip. I went downstairs on the ramp and went to the jet bridge then to get inside the aircraft. She welcomed me aboard and I sat down 1A by windows seat. I wait for another passengers to come onboard in the J class. I believe the flight isn’t too full at all. I gave my jacket to her and she will hanger on it in the closet. I have a Evian the bottled water is left behind in the seat. So I decide that I will drinkable it. So I saw LX right next to the gate. IT is Airbus A340-200. So it was came into Switzerland in the morning. Also, I saw TG on operating A340-500 aircraft. I remember since my last time that I saw TG in JFK by few years ago. It was longest nonstop from BKK-JFK but, it has been discontinuation. It was so purple color scheme. I am really love the purple.

F/A want to give me some order for my lunch and I just read the menu where I have Ricotta and Basil Fettuccine. They have a mushroom soup, too. So I will wait to get on the air. Now, the boarding is completely done and we are ready to go. I watch the door close and I got off the seat to see the door is shut.

Here Today Flight where I ate the lunch onboard out of ZRH-ATL. So the flight time will be approximately 9 hours in-flight. If we will arrived into ATL way very early. Here the menu:


When my aircraft is pushback from the gates and we are going to south runway and I listening the safety demotrations. They wait for TSA clearance to takeoff from ZRH and I came says goodbye to Switzerland and we took off the runway. IT was turn to south where we are climbed into the sky but, I saw Alps right next to me. IT was so gorgeous to see beautifully mountains. I took a photo opportunity for me and I took a 2 pictures. I am never felt to see it before. IT was so wonderful for flying out of ZRH.




Then we are climbed into the top of the sky that we are leave from Switzerland and it is turn to west. I wait for leave from Europe airspace and we are heading to France that I watch the flight tracking. I can barely see Paris and ongoing to Atlantic Ocean. We have some experienced the turbulence out of ZRH-ATL but, it was not too bad for me at all.

F/A is prepared to begin served salad & soup first before the lunch is served. She gave me customs forms and where F/A is giving them out the passengers whole entire aircraft. I told her that I am US Citizen. I can filled the form myself before to be descent approach into ATL. So it wasn’t problems for me at all. I don’t have any declared into USA.



F/A is gave me with my headset that I can listening the music & follow down the flight tracking. I wait for first thing to do to give me soup & Shalom, too. I can eat it myself and it was so delicious! After that I wait for my dinner roll and she put in the plate. The entire meal is absolutely so delicious!

I wait for my lunch is served but, she clear it out the shalom & soup, too. I smelled the food is in the right gallery. She is making the lunch for me before I am taking some nap during long jetlags out of ZRH-ATL. It was so successful out of mid-flight that I told F/A want to take a pictures inside the cockpit to see explorer into the sky. I can barely see the ocean is below. I did says thanks to F/A for taking the pictures and she took me a pictures in my seat.

I ate the lunchtime and it was so delicious! I can eat the fettuccine but, is very good meal without vegetable. I am done for now and she clearance the tray off the table. Then I am laying down in the seat for few hours during the times but, she ask me that I would likes to have a ice cream. I replied to her that I can take it and Four Cheese, too. It was very good! I am not familiar anything about Swiss cheese is coming from Switzerland. She gave me ice cream before I am taking some the nap. I am already close the shade but, the sun will hurt with my eyes. I didn’t want to see it during nap time.

I am not aware about the flight is doing out of ZRH-ATL. It might to be arrivals into ATL way very early. It will be estimated time is at 1:53pm instead of 2:35pm. It will be very early arrivals due to headwinds over TATL flight.

We are arriving into Canadian coast before entrance US airspace. So I smelled the cookie is right in the gallery. She gave me 2 chocolate chip cookie but, it was absolutely so good! She is baking the cookie for everyone in the J class. So I went back to the seat and I took some nap during the times. I can see entrance into USA airspace.

We are heading to south from NY, PA, WV, TN, GA. Also, I saw another ERJ is flying over of me that I didn’t took a pictures. It was United Express is coming from IAD. Wow! What is flying over the sky! It was so incredible that I am never felt to see it before. Now, we are entrance Tennessee that we are near TYS that I can barely see Great Smoking Mountains. I took a 2 shots that I can see the mountains and it was so gorgeous! I remember where we went to Tennessee for a few days by long time ago. Where I saw the captain coming out the cockpit but, he want go to the restroom. I spoke the captain that I told my F/a & captain that I saw Great Smoking mountains in TYS before to be descent approach into ATL. He says that I have go back to seat where the captain is went back in the cockpit. I told him that I says thanks for flying over Tennessee airspace.

F/A is put on PA for watching the video to see CBP how exactly another foreign passengers & US Citizen will process go to Immigrations & Customs, too. I am already know exactly how I can go to Immigrations & Customs in ATL. I know where the bag can go to domestic recheck area for next connection flight.

We are done to watch the video before we are landing into ATL. We are landing into south runway. That I can see lots of the aircraft is parked in the gate concourse A, B, C, D, E & T. I know my aircraft is going to the gate E33 to process clearance Immigrations & Customs, too. I wait for my aircraft is stop and I stand up to get my bag and my jacket, too. I watch the jet bridge is moving in. I can thump up to the gate agent to open the door. I told her that I know how it exactly I can go to Customs & Immigrations but, she told me that I am very good traveler. She said that I am welcomed home. I am heading for next flight out of ATL-PHX.

I got off the aircraft and walk to the customs agent is wait for me. I show my passport & customs forms, too. I went escalator up to the Immigrations. It wasn’t nobody lot of those people at the Immigrations lines. I can walk to the moving sidewalks. I walk to US Citizen lines and I saw Immigrations officer that he say go ahead that I can go into the desk. He gave me some few questions where I am staying in Switzerland and I told him that I visit to see my brother. He scans with my passport and he stamp on it, too. IT was absolutely no problems for me at all. I walk to the left where I went escalator downstairs to the customs hall & baggage claims. I ask the porter where my bags go there. He said that I have go to carousel 6. I wait for my priority bags tag coming out first. I grab my bag and off to the customs agent. That I gave the customs forms. I don’t have anything to bring declared into USA. I walk straight to domestic recheck area for next connection flight. I noticing that I saw old Customs Hall is no longer existing but, it was underway renovations. It installed more bigger new space and more convenient for the passengers arriving into USA. I didn’t realize know that before. I remember where I can see old customs hall is no longer existing. It has been underway renovations the Customs Hall. I have a very good memorable where I came into ATL from TLV.

I drop my bag off at domestic recheck area for next connection flight and I can see the bag can go through inline baggage screening system. I walk to security checkpoint that I takeoff the shoes but, the lines is very long.

TSA came see me that I don’t have a computer. I have a camera inside the bags and I let go ahead to put the bags into the x-ray machines. I am now to be clearance at TSA checkpoint in the concourse E. So I escalator down to the trams. I hoping it in the trams and now, I am on their way to concourse B as Bravo. I called my brother that I told him that I am in ATL. He came by to says hello to me and its great to see my flight is already arrived into ATL. I told him that my flight is arrived into ATL very early. It was such a very long journey back to USA. So I am in the concourse B where I have to eat a lunch time before I am flying next segment back home to PHX but, I check the GDS that is my gate has been change from B32 to B33. So I sat down the food court to get some lunch time before I am flying next flight out of ATL. I called my uncle & Marilyn, too. I am welcome back home to USA. I have go to the gate B33 where I wait for my flight is leave for PHX. So I tries to plug it in with my charger for cell phone. So I have to turn it off. So I wait for my cell phone to be complete. That’s why I have to turn it off my cell phone for week. I can’t be on the cell phone awhile I am in Europe. It will be very expensive for that.

So otherwise, it was great to see on the flight out of ZRH-ATL-PHX. So unfortunately, I didn’t have to chance to take more pictures to go to spotting in BSL. Maybe there will have another time if the weather condition will get better sometimes in the summer 2010.

I would likes to says thanks for flying back home to PHX and it was absolutely great opportunity for my trip back home to PHX. It was so emotional that I have a grateful for my entire trip back home to USA. It was so perfectly opportunity for my flight to ATL then ongoing to PHX. Since I also visited my own brother near to Zurich in October, this brings back the memories to me too. As I have said to you in the past, your command of English is slowly improving. While it is not perfect, I was able to understand your entire trip report and appreciate you taking the time to compose and write it. However, I will say one thing: your command of the English language is certainly better than my command of American Sign Language!

As you know, I was a passenger on Delta Air Lines between Atlanta and Zurich back in November, and your photographs brought back memories for me. Thank you for sharing, N830MH!Every time I see something you posted, Bretteee, it keeps reminding me to finish that darn France (via Concorde?), Malta and Southern Italy trip report, which is still to this day the only true trip report that I have attempted to write and post on FlyerTalk!

Right. I remember where you took on DL flight out of ZRH-ATL. I remember where my gate is departed out of E27 is in the E gates. Do you remember where you rode on the trams from main terminal to E gates. Did you hear the sounds likes to says "Moo" and etc. I am really likes it to hear. I remember where the fast-food is right next to the gate E27. I ate with sandwiches before I am departed flight out of ZRH. I didn't have to chance to get into the lounge for this time. I do not have enough time for me due to extra security screening at the ticket counter. That's why another agent that she gave me another security questions where I am going and why I am packing with my bags. I have a chocolate inside the bags and I packed my bags from my brother's apartment.

Actually, I went on KLM from Zurich to Amsterdam and then Delta Air Lines from Amsterdam to Atlanta because Delta Air Lines was no longer operating the return flight on the day that I had already selected and booked, so I do not remember what you wrote as my flight from Zurich departed from a different gate in a different part of the airport in Zurich.
