Immediate Ticketing
I'm pretty new to the forum so forgive me if this is in the wriong thread.
My questions is what online sites (US and Intl airlines) offer the quickest response when inputting one's credit card? i've recently booked on mexicana.com and it takes forever to move my reservation from booked to confirmed, which makes me kind of nervous.
your help is appreciated...

I haven't noticed any long delays (more then a minute) with any US-based booking site, whether it's a US airline site or a third-party site like Expedia after submitting my credit card info. Is it possible that the delay you're experiencing be due to a slow connection and not with Mexicana's site?
Also, AFAIK as long as the connection doesn't time out, a delay in the processing time doesn't hurt anything. Just don't close the window and let the website do its thing.

While I understand your question, you have to understand that it's not really a metric that makes sense in this context. (I am leaving phishing out of context here).
There is a lot involved in establishing a connection. You not only connect to the company's website, but that information also runs to Visa, MC, or whichever CC you use. The potential for a bottleneck is definitely there, but it could simply be your own connection at home.

Also, with some airlines, actual issuance of tickets is done in batches, possibly after being eyeballed by a human in certain situations to prevent a bunch of sales of accidental fares. It can regularly take several hours for a ticket to go from Reserved/Booked to Ticketed.
