Highest number of miles redeemed in a single year?
Well, we have the other thread in which folks were asked about the greatest number of miles earned in a year.
So, let's look at the other side....what are the most miles you've used in a year? How many miles have you redeemd in a single year?
So far, this year, I've used 380,000 miles on myself (mainly UA Mileage Plus miles, but 125K were US Dividend Miles for a tix on LH) and I just redeemed 6 UA F tickets to Hawaii for New Year's for friends.

My boss (who's been GS for quite a while) has used over 1,200,000 miles this year on several first class international trips for his family. And he STILL has more miles in the bank than I.

475K so far this year...
3 round trip biz class tickets @ 105K each for my relatives from Italy to come over and visit this summer, plus
5 30K mileage upgrades to business for North America-Asia flights, and 1 10K mileage upgrade intra-Asia.

Last year was nuts.
Probably 320,000 miles burned on 8 domestic F tickets (none for me!) and another 4 round-trips on Star C awards to Asia.
Add in a couple of upgrades and it's well over 700k miles down the drain.
Same expected for this year!

I'd say ~400K was the most, when I brought most of my family to Asia in C on miles in one year.
I regularly burn 200-300K each year though as I try to keep my balance low, and I have a particular short-haul award which I see as good value and book 8-10x/year.
