It seems to me people like the OP are the ones who enable companies to get away with these fees. If you don't take the time to actually understand what your purchasing before you do so, your just begging to be ripped off.

I think Greyhound would be happy if you go buy the ticket in person. This fee is probably to cover costs from fraud where unauthorized people call or go online to book tickets with a credit card they aren't supposed to be using.

This is an outrageous fee. Absolutely outrageous. My father lives in NYC and is elderly. My cousins bought him a ticket so he could enjoy the holidays with them. $18? Greyhound you should be ashamed.
