Would you ask to get down of a plane if engine has problems?

I went to a dermatologist to check a mark that appeared on my skin. He told me recognized what it was, not to worry about it, and how long it would take to go away with treatment.

Same with a pilot. Yes, pilot's have been wrong, just as doctors have been at times. But I still have much more faith in their ability to assess the airworthiness of an aircraft than I do.

You're always free to get off a plane if you don't feel comfortable, just like getting a second opinion. But from a factual, logical standpoint, it's hard to argue that you know better then the pilot. I never have and can't foresee a situation where I would.

Do you get mad when you are asked to switch planes because of some failure? In my case, I was very OK with it, even though I had a previous flight delayed & cancelled earlier that day.

I may be a little annoyed but definitely not as mad as I probably would be if the previously known failure manifests itself on take off.
